Students with moderate MHT-CET percentiles often believe they have no options. They do. Here are all four pathways to admission at SPCOE for 2026–27.

Pathway 1

First Year Engineering (FY)

Through MHT-CET or JEE Main score via DTE Maharashtra CAP rounds. SPCOE's closing cutoffs are reachable for students with moderate percentiles. Ask us for last year's actual closing percentile for your preferred branch.

Pathway 2

Direct Second Year Engineering (DSE)

For diploma holders who completed a 3-year polytechnic diploma in engineering. Join directly into the second year of BE. SPCOE has DSE seats available. This audience is underserved — most colleges do not explain DSE admission clearly.

Institute-Level Seats (After CAP)

After the main CAP rounds complete, if seats remain, SPCOE fills them at the institute level. No CET rank required beyond basic eligibility. This is the highest-intent window — students searching for a confirmed seat in June–September should contact us directly.

Alternatively, if CAP rounds do not yield a seat, SPCOE fills remaining seats at the institute level after the main rounds, where basic eligibility is the key requirement. Yes, completely. SPCOE is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) — the same university as COEP, VIIT, SKNCOE, and hundreds of other engineering colleges in Pune. Your degree reads "Savitribai Phule Pune University" regardless of which affiliated college you attended. Employers, government job applications, and postgraduate entrance exams (GATE, MAH-ME-CET) do not distinguish between campus locations. Only your grades, skills, and university name appear on the degree.

The fee structure is published on the official SPCOE website and follows the fee fixation committee approval for SPPU-affiliated colleges. Students from OBC, SC/ST, EBC, Minority, and certain Open Category backgrounds are eligible for government scholarships that significantly reduce the effective annual cost. Yes, BE Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning is a newly launched program at SPCOE and is fully approved by AICTE with 60 seats. The program follows the SPPU curriculum for AI&ML, covering machine learning, deep learning, data engineering, and AI application development. Yes. This is called Direct Second Year (DSE) admission. Students who have completed a 3-year polytechnic diploma in a relevant engineering discipline can apply for direct admission into the second year of BE under the SPPU lateral entry scheme. SPCOE has DSE seats available. This pathway is processed through DTE Maharashtra, and institute-level DSE seats may also be available after the main rounds.
